Former MLB left fielder that was originally taken by the Cleveland Guardians as a fifth-round pick in the 2002 Draft. While playing for the Philadelphia Phillies during the 2011 National League Division Series, he hit a massive three-run home run that eventually helped the Phillies defeat the St. Louis Cardinals.
He initially began his collegiate career at Cypress Community College. He later transferred to UCLA.
He made his official MLB debut while playing against the Rays on May 1, 2007 as a member of the Guardians. That very same day, he hit his first career home run in a 2-1 victory. During his seven-year MLB career, he played for the Guardians, Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees
Growing up, he lived with his family in the Santa Ana, California area. He and his wife, Cindy, were married in 2010.
