Veteran fly-half, fullback and center that began his professional playing career as a teenager with the Bath Rugby Club. He later joined the Glasgow Warriors and then the Gloucester Rugby Club. He has also played for the Scottish men's national team during his professional club career.
Prior to his professional career, he played for the Currie Rugby Football Club. He also played for the Stirling County RFC youth club.
At just 23 years old, he helped Team Scotland win the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He scored twice and recorded eight conversions in a 61-0 win against Russia.
