Spanish soccer coach and former player who rose to fame during his years as a right-back for Barcelona. In 1998, he signed with Chelsea FC and remained with the club until 2003. At the international level, he represented Spain at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1994 FIFA World Cup. After retiring, he coached for Vitesse, Córdoba, and Mallorca.
