New York-based Meteorologist for WNYW-TV who became the station's chief Meteorologist in late 2012 after previously serving the main position at WWOR-TV from 2007 to 2013.
She graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in speech communication before heading to Mississippi State University to earn her Masters of Science in geosciences. She worked at Savannah, Georgia news stations before becoming a weekend morning Meteorologist for WNBC beginning in 1999.
She launched an apparel Business where the clothes are decorated with crystals.
She married Jay Thompson in September of 2004 with whom she has children named Santana, Mateo Jay and Lola Jaye.
She is the daughter of Tito Puente and sister Tito Puente, Jr.
