First rising to fame as a child actor, he has since become known for his prominent roles in Korean dramas like Melody of Love, Stairway to Heaven, and Doctors. He is also recognized for his roles in period dramas like Queen Insoo and Splendid Politics.
He was only five years old when he made his acting debut in the 1994 film I Wish for What Is Forbidden to Me.
In his youth, he portrayed the younger version of numerous male protagonists in shows like Damo and Emperor of the Sea.
He hails from Gwangmyeong, South Korea.
