British gymnastics champion who competed in three Olympic games, in Athens, Beijing, and London, where she won the bronze medal on the uneven bars.
She began training with the City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club at age 12.
She won three World Championship gold medals, 11 World Cup gold medals, six European Championship gold medals, and an Olympic bronze medal.
She grew up with one brother, James.
She earned a bronze medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics for the uneven bars, while newcomer Gabby Douglas won the gold in the individual and team all-around competitions.
