German TV host known for being the host of Extra – Das RTL-Magazin at RTL Television for more than 20 years. She's also known for her work on Life! – Die Lust zu leben.
She started her career as an assistant at West German Radio in 1978.
She's also become known for her charitable work, especially helping impoverished children, earning a Medal of the Order of Merit in 2008.
She had a son with Markus Lanz while they were together from 1998 to 2006.
She and Gunther Jauch have both worked as presenters for RTL Television.
