Since taking over the positions of Chairman and CEO from their father, the two brothers have expanded the company a great deal. It is now the second largest company in terms of fossil fuel production in Argentina, and is currently carrying out exploration and development activities in South America and Asia. The Bridas Corporation attempted to begin construction on a Trans-Afghanistan pipeline in the late 90s, but due to the 2001 U.S. Invasion of Afghanistan, the entire endeavor fell through.
