Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor was born on 1959 in Lima, Peru, Peru. Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor and his family fled to California from Peru in 1968 after a political coup. His family later returned to Peru and his father, Carlos Sr., became the country's Minister of Economy from 1982 to 1984. In 1994, Carlos Sr. bought Banco Internacional del Peru; he died the next year. Carlos Rodríguez-Pastor took over leadership of the bank and has invested its profits in other businesses, including retail group InRetail Peru Corp., and banking and insurance firm Intercorp Financial Services, also known as Intercorp. He also founded Nexus Group, a private equity firm, in 1998. Nexus has investments in movie theaters, fast food, schools, universities, department stores and hotels. Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor was born in 1959. In 1968, after a coup, he fled with his family to Ecuador and later California. His Father Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor Sr. was Peru's Minister of Economy from 1982 to 1984. In 1994, his Father bought Banco Internacional del Peru, but died the following year.
