She gained more than a decade of teaching experience at Warners Bay High School after earning a diploma in positive psychology.
She and Tresme founded The Happiness Mission in 2016 which helps create health and wellness programs for schools and businesses based on positive psychology and neuroscience.
She and Tresne legally married in 2014.
