The baroness' family owns Valdemars Castle, which was commissioned in Demark and built during the mid '60s. It is frequently open to the public and a popular spot because of its proximity to the beach. Rumors that the baroness was dating Danish football star Nicklas Bendtner began flying in late 2009 after the two were seen together in London's Hyde Park. It was eventually revealed that the pair met when Luel-Brockdorff was filming the renovation of her family's castle, Valdemars Castle, which was documented on a reality TV program.
Bendtner was invited over as a guest and the two even did a photo shoot together. A few months later, he announced he was about to become a father, and the baroness gave birth to their son in late 2010. She previously had two children, Alexander and Josephine, from her first marriage to Rory Fleming. Luel-Brockdorff and Bendtner became engaged, but later decided to split shortly after the birth of their son.
