Her first screen appearance was in The Midnight Man, a Burt Lancaster murder mystery shot in 1973.
Even though the producers of the Dukes of Hazzard were looking for a Dolly Parton lookalike, she was hired on the spot when she walked into audition for the part of Daisy Duke.
She was previously married to the now-deceased Peter Lopez, and they had two daughters, Sophia and Laura.
She joined the cast of the soap opera The Young and the Restless in 2012 and acted alongside Peter Bergman.
