In 2009, she won the Women's British Open and was named the Ladies European Tour Player of the Year. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1995.
She learned to golf on the North Berwick West Links as a girl.
She attended the University of Stirling.
She has two daughters, Katie and Sophie.
