Record producer who started the electronic music project What So Not. He is known for such hits as, "Innerbloom", "High You Are" and "Jaguar". What So Not has toured the world, playing in various festivals, including Coachella, Pukkelpop, Ultra Music Festival, and Lollapalooza. In 2018 he released his debut album, Not All the Beautiful Things. In 2022 he released his second album, Anomaly.

He created the project originally with DJ Flume. In 2011 they released their debut EP, "7 Dollar Bill" along with many remixes. In 2015 he and Flume parted ways, and he went on to collaborate with other artists such as Skrillex and LPX. He first posted to his Instagram in April of 2017 from the Coachella music event.

His stage name is Emoh Instead. His whatsonot Instagram has 200,000 followers. He posts photos taken at his shows and advertises his tours and new music and album cover art. He has also shared photos of himself with such celebrities as Skrillex and Pauly D. He also communicates with fans through his WhatSoNot Twitter where he has 80,000 followers.

His brother, Luke Emerson, is part of the production duo Zebarah with bandmate Mark Broome. The two grew up in Sydney.

He became engaged in a feud with Oliver Tree when the two planned to collaborate in 2022 and Tree never showed up. Later he served Chris Emerson with a cease and desist. This all turned out to be a hoax and publicity stunt for their joint project Mr. Regular.
