Her channel was hacked in 2010 but she was able to get it back. She posted her first video to BeyondBeautyStar after the hacking on June 22, 2010.
She attended Beautycon in New York City in 2014. She became Teen Vogue's first YouTube host in April 2015.
She is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She began a relationship with fellow YouTuber Jonah Green. The couple did an official Boyfriend Tag video in 2015.
She and Hunter March collaborated on a video in April 2015 where they reacted to old photographs.
