Gaelic football centre forward known for his years with Kerry and Dr. Crokes, having won multiple Munster Senior Football Championship and All-Ireland Senior Football Championship titles. He was named to the All-Star Gaelic Football Team eight times from 2002 to 2013 and was included on the Munster Football Team of the Last 25 Years in 2009.
He was born in Killarney, Ireland and joined Dr. Crokes in 2000, when he was 17 years old. The team won the Kerry Senior Football Championship that season.
In 2012, he surpassed Mikey Sheehy as Kery's all-time leading point scorer.
His parents are Mike and Maureen Cooper. He and his four brothers, Danny, Mike, Mark and Vince, have all played together on Dr. Crokes.
He won the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Champioship, Kerry's 37th in club history, alongside teammate James O'Donoghue.
