Willie Perry Jr., better known by his stage name DJ Casper, who has been signed to DarkChild. He is perhaps best known as the creator of "Casper Slide Pt. 1," also known as the infamous dance hit "Cha Cha Slide."
He created the Cha Cha Slide for his nephew who was working as a personal trainer in 1998. It was from there that the song gained popularity in fitness clubs as aerobic exercise.
He earned the stage name Casper for his tendency to wear primarily white while performing on stage.
He was raised in Englewood, Chicago. He's married to Joyce Perry. In 2016, he was diagnosed with both kidney and neuroendocrine cancer.
He has posted photos on Instagram with numerous popular artists from Bryshere Gray to Brian McKnight.
