Russian tennis player who won Grand Slam doubles tournaments with partner Ekaterina Makarova at the 2013 French Open and the 2014 US Open. She is also the winner of WTA singles tournaments like the Moorilla Hobart International and AEGON International.
She was born in the city of Lviv and competed in her first $10,000 tournament in Giza, Egypt in October 2002, when she was 16 years old.
She and Ekaterina Makarova won the WTA Award for Fan Favorite Doubles Team of the Year in 2013.
Her parents are Sergej Vesnin and Irina Vesnina. She has a brother named Dmitry.
She won the 2008 Indian Wells Masters with the help of doubles partner Dinara Safina.
