Football and business executive known as the executive VP and general manager for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens. His leadership has been pursued by several other teams including the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears. In 2012, he signed a contract making him one of the highest paid executives in football and guaranteeing his place as Ozzie Newsome's eventual successor, a role he would officially take on in 2018.
He earned his bachelor's degree in English and classical civilizations in 1993 before going on to earn a master's in English from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. While still a student, he also worked as a graduate fellow and coached football for the university's athletic department.
For his role in the Pro Bowl careers of numerous players like Terrell Suggs and Kyle Juszczyk, he was named one of the most powerful people in sports under the age of 35 in 2006 by Sporting News. They would later also name him NFL Executive of the Year in May of 2020.
He married his wife Lacie in 2001. Together, they are the parents of Jane Elizabeth, Michael Litz, and Jackson James.
