Before becoming known as a television star, he pursued a modeling career and appeared in a series of commercials.
In 2015, he launched a career in film, appearing in the features Maalik and Good Morning Karachi.
A native of Karachi, Pakistan, he was raised in a family of Muslim faith. His marriage produced sons named Fahad and Daniyal.
He and movie star Fawad Khan both became prominent Pakistani screen actors.
