German alpine ski racer who won a gold medal in the team event at the 2005 World Championships in Bormio. He also has multiple World Cup victories to his name.
He grew up in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and competed in his first World Championship in 2003.
He became just the second German male skier to win a World Cup giant slalom.
Both of his parents also skied in the World Cup.
He and Katja Seizinger are both famous ski racers from Germany.
