Mexican revolutionary who is best recognized overthrowing the dictator Porfirio Diaz and becoming the 37th president of Mexico from 1911 until he was deposed in a coup d'etat in February 1913, and assassinated.
From 1886 to 1888, he attended Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Md. He studied for several years at a business school in Paris called HEC Paris and one semester at the University of California at Berkeley.
His full name is Francisco Ignacio Madero González. His 1908 book "The Presidential Succession in 1910," called Mexican voters to prevent the reelection of Porfirio Díaz.
He was the brother of Gustavo, Raúl, Emilio, Ernesto and Gabriel Madero. He was married to Sara Pérez Romero from 1903 to 1913.
He had the support of Pancho Villa, when he decided to overthrow the Mexican dictator Porfirio Diaz.
