Famous for leading a student Activist group known as CLASSE in a fight against higher education tuition increases proposed by Quebec Premier Jean Charest, he is also notable for his Governor General's Award-winning activism memoir, Tenir Tete.
After receiving his bachelor's degree in sociology from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal, he entered the philosophy graduate program at the Universite de Montreal.
Prior to his involvement in CLASSE, he belonged to another student Activist organization-- ASSE (the Association pour une Solidarite Syndicale Etudiante).
The son of fellow Activist Gilles Dubois, he was raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
He and Craig Kielburger are both noteworthy Canadian Activists.
