Most well known for her portrayal of Rachel Breckle on the popular British soap opera Emmerdale, she is also notable for her appearances on Doctors and Casualty and for her hosting work with the United Kingdom's Capital FM radio station.
When she was just nine years old, she performed in a touring production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Evita.
As a result of being bullied, she developed anorexia. She suffered from the eating disorder for over a decade before finally overcoming it in her early twenties.
A native of Hull, Canada, she later lived and worked in England.
Her Emmerdale character is the sister of the character portrayed by Kelli Hollis.
