Former basketball coach who transitioned into a political career with the Greek New Democracy party; member of the Greek Basketball Hall of Fame.
He was a student of agriculture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; he also played for the Aris Thessaloniki basketball team beginning at 15.
He was victorious in four consecutive Greek Championships and won one Greek Cup while working with Olympiacos; his last game was a grand defeat of Olympiacos' bitter rivals Panathinaikos.
He was born in Thessaloniki, Greece.
