Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who has earned fame for his specializing submission-only grappling technique. He won the 2017 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship title in the 88kg weight division, and finished as the runner-up for the overall title.
He began practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at age 15. He trained at the Brunswick, New Jersey Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy.
He won the 2015 IBJJF World No-Gi Championships as a brown belt, which prompted his promotion to black belt in February 2016. He won his third Eddie Bravo Invitational in 2017.
He was originally born and raised in Monroe, New Jersey. His brother Nicky is also an MMA fighter.
He defeated Mahamed Aly by heel hook submission on his way to finishing as runner-up for the ADCC Absolute World Championship.
