ECB Cricketer of the Year in 2011, the first English spinner to take 50 wickets in a calendar year, he played for Northamptonshire from 1998-2004.
He was part of the side which won the Under-19 World Cup in 1998.
He became the first English off-spinner since Jim Laker to take ten wickets in a match in March 2010.
He has two children named Wilfred and Charlotte.
He and Kevin Pietersen represented England at the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
