Founder of the project Kitten Lady that is dedicated to protecting orphaned kittens. The project provides educational media and training resources to save the lives of kittens. She shares knowledge and the joys of rescuing kittens on her Instagram account kittenxlady which has 650,000 followers.
She rescued her first kitten in 2008 when she spotted one in a tree. She got her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and women's studies from George Mason University. She received a certificate in wildlife rehabilitation from North Carolina State University and a certificate in grant writing from Duke University.
She became the Director of a nonprofit organization called Rock to the Rescue which was founded by the bands Styx and REO Speedwagon.
She raised kittens of her own named Coco and Eloise.
She rescues cats like Piper Rock-Elle and her mother.
