Rocketed to fame in 2011 as the winner of the second season of the FOX reality series MasterChef. She then went on to launch her own catering company, Pink Martini.
After earning a bachelor's in exercise science from Eastern University, she spent several years as a realtor before joining the cast of MasterChef.
A former pageant queen, she won the title of Miss Delaware USA in 1999 and went on to represent the state in the 2000 Miss USA pageant.
Her husband, Julio Lazzarini, is also a chef. Together, the two captain the private chef Service Red Fin Crudo & Kitchen.
She was succeeded as the winner of MasterChef by season three contestant Christine Ha.
