In 2005, she debuted on U.S. television, appearing in the Disney Channel made-for-television movie Twitches. Robertson has since appeared in other American made-for-television movies including Knights of the South Bronx and Relative Chaos. She also co-starred as anchorwoman Jennifer Lange on the short-lived Fox News Channel satire show The 1/2 Hour News Hour.
Starting in 2010, she played Cece Goldsworthy on Degrassi: The Next Generation in the season 10 in the episode "Umbrella" as Eli Goldsworthy's mother.
In 2013 and 2014, she hosted Canada's Handyman Challenge.
Beginning in 2015, Robertson is appearing as Jocelyn Schitt in the CBC situation comedy Schitt's Creek.
