Houser was born in Los Angeles, California. Since 1971, he has appeared in dozens of films, TV series, animated series, and commercials. Some of his most notable appearances are Summer of '42, Slap Shot with Paul Newman, and in the Brady Bunch spin-off movies as Marcia's husband, Wally Logan. Also in the TV sitcom, We'll Get By. Also in TV sitcom "Maude", he played Maude's nephew in an episode in Season 4 in 1976.
