MLB pitcher who debuted with the New York Mets in 2012. He served as the Mets' set-up man in 2014, then he became the team's closer in 2015. He helped the Mets reach the World Series in 2015.
During his minor league career, he was an All-Star Future Game selection in 2010 and an EAS Mid-Season All-Star in 2011.
He originally signed with the Mets as an undrafted free agent in July 2007.
He was born in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Dominican Republic.
He and starting pitcher Matt Harvey became teammates on the Mets.
