Business man behind the Gallery Furniture franchise. He gained popular attention after Super Bowl XLVIII when he promised a full refund for customers purchasing over $6,000 in furniture if the Seattle Seahawks won the game. He is also the creator of the mattress line Mack-O-Pedic mattresses.
He started his furniture Business with only $5,000 and a his own pickup truck. While the Business began slowly, he took the only $10,000 to his name to advertise.
He co-authored the book Always Think Big, a book narrating the journey of his entrepreneurial career.
Though born in Starkville, Mississippi, he is from Houston, Texas. He and his wife have three children.
In 2000, he competed with Hilton Koch, a fellow furniture salesman, in an episode for Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
