Track and field star who won a silver medal at the 2003 World Championships in the 400 meter hurdles.
He was the 1997 NCAA Champion in the 400 meter hurdles while attending the University of Northern Iowa.
Following his competitive career he took up a coaching position at the University of Iowa.
He was born in Iowa City, Iowa.
When he gathered silver at the World Championships, he finished behind only Felix Sanchez.
