Known best as the father of young murder victim JonBenet Ramsey, this Nebraska-born businessman discovered his daughter's body in the basement of his family's Boulder, Colorado home in late December of 1996.
After graduating from Michigan State University, he became an officer in the United States Navy. He later founded a company called the Advanced Product Group and went on to become C.E.O. of Access Graphics.
In 2008, he and his wife Patsy Ramsey were officially removed from the list of suspects in their daughter's homicide. In 2014, the murder remained unsolved.
His first marriage -- to Lucinda Pasch -- resulted in a daughter, Elizabeth Pasch Ramsey, who tragically died in an automobile accident in her early twenties. His second marriage -- to Patsy Paugh Ramsey -- produced JonBenét Ramsey, as well as a son named Burke Ramsey.
Many of the pictures released by the media following the death of John Ramsey's daughter JonBenet showed the young girl dressed in child beauty pageant attire.
