John J. Vogel was born, is Actor, Producer, Camera Department. Hollywood, Nollywood Actor, Director, Producer and Special Needs Community Activist. John was born in Akron, Ohio on September 29, 1964, the second child of John J Vogel Sr, a WWII vet, retired salesman for Xerox as well as life long artist and Anne Vogel, a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and the daughter of Stanton Cahill, the last private commercial fisherman on Lake Ontario. His older sister, Ruthanne was born in 1956. As an actor John J Vogel studied with internationally acclaimed actor, Alfred Molina and Hollywood acting coach guru, Sal Romeo. John J Vogel started his career in entertainment as a musician. After attending The Ohio State University and the prestigious Berklee College of Music, John moved to Los Angeles and found himself with the edgy rock band, Future Underworld Kings produced by Grammy nominated producer Garth Richardson(Taylor Swift, Rage Against the Machine). It was during this time when he got one of his first acting jobs as the house drummer for the HBO hit series - The Larry Sander's Show. Acting became more prominent with roles on Jerry Bruckheimer's Soldier of Fortune, Inc starring Brad Johnson, Melinda Clarke and Tim Abell, the syfy series Sightings and the award winning short - Jesus 2000. Recently, John co-starred in the joint Hollywood/Nollywood film Tempting Fate with international movie star, Ramsey Nouah. His latest co-starring roll was in Sal Tassone's "Color of Love" playing the father of a grown daughter with Autism. John's career also found its way behind the camera directing and hosting the food show, The Mix Masters and producing best selling crime novelist Michael Connelly's documentary, Blue Neon Night. As a multiple-award winning director, John's commercials have resulted in over $10,0000,000 in sales. John's dedication to people with special needs began over 10 years ago after being invited to take part in the Celebrity Winterfest benefiting Special Olympics of Northern California/Nevada. His love for the Athletes became apparent having raised over $350,000 in services and donations. In these years, John went on to train a group of Athletes to work with him on set when he's directing.
