Rugby fly-half who led Leinster Rugby in the Celtic League to an unprecedented three European Cups in four years. In 2013 he began playing for the British and Irish Lions national team.
He led St. Mary's College to the Leinster Schools cup title, scoring the winning drop goal and earning himself an invite to Leinster.
In 2013 he announced he was leaving the Irish rugby union to take a €2m contract in France.
He married Laura Priestley in 2013. The couple has one son, Luca.
He joined Paul O'Connell on the Irish national team in 2011.
