Singer-songwriter who is the frontman for the rock band The Strokes, the group known for songs like "Last Night." He is joined in The Strokes by Albert Hammond, Jr., Fabrizio Moretti, Nikolai Fraiture, and Nick Valensi.
His stepfather introduced him to The Doors, which impacted his musical and performance style. He met his bandmates while playing music at Manhattan's Dwight School.
