Japanese voice actor who has become renowned for voicing characters in popular anime, including Kakashi Hatake in Naruto, Jerrid Messa in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Akio Nitta in Touch. He is also an in-demand voiceover Artist for video games, having lent his voice to games like Star Ocean, Tales of Phantasia and Gundam Battle Royale.
His debut voice role was Tetsusai on the anime series Ikkyū-san in 1975.
He was a singer in the 90's, releasing singles like "Risky Game."
He was previously married to Shizuka Ochi, Minako Arakawa and Yumiko Igarashi. He is the father of comic book artist Nanami Igarashi.
