American former professional basketball player who had a 10-year career in the NBA. He played 6 seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. In 2004, he was elected to the Illinois Men's Basketball All-Century Team. In 2015, he was Inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association's Hall of Fame.
He attended Crane High School in Chicago. He then went on to the University of Illinois where he began his college career. He was selected by the LA Clippers as the 19th pick overall in the 1987 NBA draft.
During his career he played a total of 646 games and scored 8,717 points. He has earned the nickname "the Snake." After basketball, he moved on to a career in Real Estate. He is well known for having previously owned a mansion in Illinois which was featured on MTV Cribs. He is considered to be one of the most decorated players to play for the University of Illinois.
He is the 7th oldest in a poor family of 12 children. He was 7 when his father died. Half of his siblings were raised by his grandparents. His half-brother is Bobby Duckworth, who played for the San Diego Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams.
