Most well known for portraying Hazel on the British soap opera EastEnders and for playing Julie Johnston on the ITV series Bad Girls, she is also notable for her recurring roles on The Darling Buds of May (as Angela Snow) and Strathblair (as Flora McInnes).
Early in her career, she appeared in episodes of the television shows Shoestring, Lovejoy, and C.A.T.S. Eyes.
