Known by the stage name Jinhoo, he gained fame as a member of the ten piece South Korean boy band UP10TION. The group has released several successful EPs since their debut, including the #1 EPs Summer Go!, Burst, and Star:dom.
He debuted with the rest of UP10TION in 2015 on their television parody series Masked Rookie King.
He and two other UP10TION members sang "Run" for the 38 Revenue Collection Unit original Soundtrack in 2016.
He has a younger brother and a younger sister.
