Kobe Tai was born on January 15, 1972 in Taipei, Taiwan, Taiwan, is Actress. Although the ranks of Asian stars in the adult-film business has been growing, few have reached the status of Kobe Tai. She and Asia Carrera are probably the two most popular Asian women in porn, and it's a toss-up as to which one would take the #1 spot. Of Chinese/Japanese extraction, she was born in Taiwan and placed in an orphanage at an early age. Adopted by an American family, she was brought to the US and raised there. She broke into the adult-film business in 1996 under the name Blake Young (she also used the name Brooke Young). She attended the Big Apple Anime Fest, held in New York City in October 2001, for her voice acting role in the Japanese OVA Koihime parts 1 & 2 (playing the character "Nami"), and she was an Opening Night Guest of Honor along with Asia Carrera at the fest's Midnight Anime Concourse.

2011

She was a contract performer with Vivid Entertainment. Her stage name was initially spelled Coby Ty, but Steven Hirsch modified it to make it sound more ethnic for marketing purposes. In 2011, Complex ranked her first on its list of "The Top 50 Hottest Asian Porn Stars of All Time".
