Latvian competitor who is best known for his work in the sport of powerlifting. In addition to his athletic work he also works as a professional bodyguard.
With a passion for Sports and athletics at a young age, he won the 2002 WPC Junior World Powerlifting Championships and the 2003 GPC World Powerlifting Championships both in the 125 kilograms weight class. After gaining recognition and becoming a professional, he continued his career in weightlifting.
He is the winner of the 2011 WPC Raw World Powerlifting Championships title which occurred on November 18th 2011 in Riga, Latvia. He competed in the 140 kilograms weight class with a 960 kilograms total.
He was born and raised in Liepāja, Latvian SSR in the Soviet Union.
As a powerlifter, he can be seen in relation to other athletes of the sport including Zydrunas Savickas, Mark Henry, and Bill Kazmaier.
