Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player who is known as the head coach for the New York Islanders of the NHL. He played 283 games in the NHL for the Quebec Nordiques, New York Rangers, and Detroit Red Wings between 1983 and 1989.
He was drafted 25th overall in the second round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.
He has been the head coach of the Milwaukee Admirals, an assistant coach for the Nashville Predators, and an assistant coach with the Washington Capitals during their 2018 Stanley Cup run.
