Reality television star and chef, she gained prominence after starring on MasterChef Australia in 2014. She was the runner-up to the grand prize and used the television exposure to start her professional cooking career. She released her first cookbook My Italian Kitchen in April 2015.
She was just beginning university and working at a restaurant in Adelaide, Australia, when she got on the show.
She announced in August 2014 that she would be opening an Italian Tapas bar in McLaren Vale with the winnings from MasterChef.
Her parents are Sandro and Anita Cassei, and she has two siblings named Aidan and Natalie.
She narrowly missed winning MasterChef Australia in 2014, instead becoming runner-up to Brent Owens.
