In July 2013, she moved to Los Angeles to attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising for beauty merchandise marketing.
She was born in Massachusetts, but moved to Georgia at the age of two. Her sister is fellow YouTuber Meghan Hughes.
She is friends with fellow YouTube beauty guru Lauren Elizabeth.
