Long-distance Runner who competed in the 2008 Olympics and won gold in the 10,000 meters in the 2009 World Championships and the 2007 World Cross Country Championships.
She attended Kapsagom Primary School and Bishop Okiring Secondary school in Kenya.
She set a world junior record in the 10,000 meters at the 2008 Olympics.
Her father is John Barasa Masai, and she has nine siblings.
