Singer who rapidly rose to fame competing in the seventh season of The X Factor Australia as a member of Dannii Minogue's team. She initially gained a following posting her original music to SoundCloud.
Before auditioning for the X Factor, she was working as a barista in Brisbane.
She was named after gospel singer Mahalia Jackson.
Half-Samoan and half-Kiwi, she is the youngest of eight children, all of whom are Singers.
After her audition on the X Factor, judge Guy Sebastian stated "If I was the head of a record label and you came in, I would sign you on the spot."
