Professional tennis player known for being active in both doubles and singles. Her play first garnered attention when she upset Urszula Radwanska at The Bahamas Women's Open in 2012.
She attended the University of Southern California to play tennis, where she was ranked the top college player in 2011-2012.
She also played basketball in high school and was good enough to receive offers to play in college, which she ultimately turned down. She's a fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
She grew up as the youngest of five, as well as the only girl. Her family is of Mexican heritage.
She and Taylor Townsend have played as doubles partners.
